Hancock Place School District is proud to host the 7th Annual Blake Snyder Memorial Community Coat Giveaway on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Hancock Elementary School. 💙🧥
This special event helps keep families warm—one coat at a time—with brand-new coats, socks, gloves, hats, hygiene items, school supplies, and snacks for kids (while supplies last).
✨ NEW THIS YEAR: We will also have free food available for families as part of our community support efforts. Come by for warm clothing and grab some food items to take home, while supplies last.
We are grateful for the many generous sponsors and volunteers who make this event possible each year in honor of Officer Blake Snyder. 💛

Our agendas include but are not limited to: safety protocols and measures; academics; behavior; and social-emotional. If you plan to attend, we require an RSVP as well as if need the childcare option so that we can order the appropriate amount of snacks for children and adults. A couple of important reminders!
We still plan to have our Fall Family Fun event from 6pm to 7pm today at the Early Childhood Center, even if it rains. If it is raining, we will open up the gym area, but if it is not raining, we will be on the playground and the gym will not be open. You will be able to receive a free ice treat from the Kona Ice Truck when you leave; treats are not allowed inside. Looking forward to seeing all of you!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 24th, is an early release day. Full Day students need to be picked up on time at 11:40am at the ECC and the preschool students' parents at the elementary school location should check SeeSaw for their times. Half day/Morning classes will be dismissed at their normal time. Half Day/Afternoon classes will not have school. There is no after care at either location. Teachers and staff will be engaged in professional development after pick up. Thank you in advance for being on time!
